what is private school style home education?

Since I attended a private school I know how I was taught. I gained an appreciation sor the style as I am the result of its execution. Through my research of education styles I discovered the name of the style is the classical method, or the Charlotte Mason method. Once I read the Charlotte Mason book and visited the well trained mind, and classical conversations, I knew exactly what to look for when sourcing materials to educate my children. The rainbow resource website is a warehouse of all homeschool materials and knowing exactly the type of materials you are looking for helps narrow your focus and keeps you from getting overwhelmed. I knew I wanted secular because I wanted it to be universal character building so my children could choose their own spiritual path when they got older. Philosophy is universal, so I had to find a way to teach philosophy to children. I found that as well. I build a whole lesson plan to teach them philosophy for each stage of their development. The philosophy for kids website helped but it was not specific. I created my whole curriculum around philosophy. The branches of philosophy helped me gain clarity on where to begin. Konos is a homeschool curriculum created in the eighties centered around character but it was bible based. I used it as a springboard for crafting my secular version based on philosophy. Argschoolin YouTube channel helped me think of other books to add in and how I wanted to start my own YouTube channel books, binders, and beliefs. I got so busy I was not prepared to add the channel and when I was ready my middle child broke all my equipment and I got discouraged. I still want to do it though. 😆with konos, philosophy for kids, argschoolin, and simply Charlotte Mason. I had the building blocks of my secular character development.
